You will encounter amazing views of the ocean from on top of the bluffs. When you are done with the trails, you can walk right onto the beach and admire the bluffs from below. Parking is very limited and need Easthampton permit in season. Good vibe. Can hold a big swell! Those of us who live and surf ditch, for many years, have watched our break become a zoo of kooks, hipsters and obnoxious selfies who don't know how to surf cuz they never learned etiquette.
You all have ruined the break, but it's such an easy wave that any moron can and does paddle out. We don't want you here, we wish you'd drive while texting yourselves westward on the LIE. April in Paris 68 contributions. I've heard about this place and just had to check it out.
It's mostly surfers and paddle boarders on this beach. Very hard to find parking, so just parked for a few minutes, took a few pics and then left.
If you don't have a parking pass, you will get a ticket. They are notorious for giving tickets here. Other than that, nice place to see but tough to park. If in Montauk you have to come to Ditch. The beach is a mecca for surfers and paddleboarders or those who like to watch both. Unparrallelled natural beauty. There are trails in the bluffs to hike as well. The beach is truly amazing. Parkning is limited to two smallish lots so come early or get dropped off. The lots require East Hampton permits which the loding establishments often provide.
