Very how does it work
Think of the AQI as a yardstick that runs from 0 to The higher the AQI value, the greater the level of air pollution and the greater the health concern.
For example, an AQI value of 50 or below represents good air quality, while an AQI value over represents hazardous air quality.
For each pollutant an AQI value of generally corresponds to an ambient air concentration that equals the level of the short-term national ambient air quality standard for protection of public health.
AQI values at or below are generally thought of as satisfactory. When AQI values are above , air quality is unhealthy: at first for certain sensitive groups of people, then for everyone as AQI values get higher. The AQI is divided into six categories.
Each category corresponds to a different level of health concern. Each category also has a specific color. The color makes it easy for people to quickly determine whether air quality is reaching unhealthy levels in their communities. Each of these pollutants has a national air quality standard set by EPA to protect public health:. Instead, seek to serve the business. Let me know if you want to specifically override my decision.
As companies grow, they often become highly centralized and inflexible. Symptoms include:. We avoid this by being highly aligned and loosely coupled. We spend lots of time debating strategy together, and then trust each other to execute on tactics without prior approvals. We may find that the strategy was too vague or the tactics were not aligned with the agreed strategy. And we discuss generally how we can do better in the future.
Ultimately, the end goal is to grow the business for bigger impact while increasing flexibility and agility. We seek to be big, fast and nimble. New employees often comment in their first few months that they are surprised at how accurate this culture description is to the actual culture they experience.
Around the world, we live and create our culture together. In fact, hundreds of our global employees contributed to this document. We do not seek to preserve our culture — we seek to improve it. Every person who joins us helps to shape and evolve the culture further. We find new ways to accomplish more together. Every few years we can feel a real difference in how much more effectively we are operating than in the past.
We are learning faster than ever because we have more dedicated people with diverse perspectives trying to find better ways for our talented team to work together more cohesively, nimbly and effectively. As we wrote in the beginning, what is special about Netflix is how much we:.
Netflix Culture. What is special about Netflix, though, is how much we: encourage independent decision-making by employees share information openly, broadly, and deliberately are extraordinarily candid with each other keep only our highly effective people avoid rules Our core philosophy is people over process.
Real Values The real values of a firm are shown by who gets rewarded or let go. Dream Team A dream team 1 is one in which all of your colleagues are extraordinary at what they do and are highly effective collaborators. Freedom and Responsibility There are companies where people ignore trash on the floor in the office, leaving it for someone else to pick it up, and there are companies where people in the office lean down to pick up the trash they see, as they would at home.
Some examples of how we operate with unusual amounts of freedom are: We share documents internally broadly and systematically. Nearly every document is fully open for anyone to read and comment on, and everything is cross-linked.
There are some leaks, but the value of highly-informed employees is well worth it. There are virtually no spending controls and few contract signing controls. Each employee is expected to seek advice and perspective as appropriate. Frankly, we intermix work and personal time quite a bit, doing email at odd hours, taking off a weekday afternoon, etc.
Our leaders make sure they set good examples by taking vacations, often coming back with fresh ideas, and encourage the rest of the team to do the same. Each employee chooses each year how much of their compensation they want in salary versus stock options.
You can choose all cash, all options, or whatever combination suits you 4. You choose how much risk and upside you want. These year stock options are fully-vested and you keep them even if you leave Netflix. There are no compensation handcuffs vesting requiring you to stay in order to get your money. People are free to leave at any time, without loss of money, and yet they overwhelmingly choose to stay. We want managers to create conditions where people love being here, for the great work and great pay.
Disagree Openly If you disagree on a material issue, it is your responsibility to explain why you disagree, ideally in both discussion and in writing. Context not Control We want employees to be great independent decision makers, and to only consult their manager when they are unsure of the right decision.
Highly Aligned, Loosely Coupled As companies grow, they often become highly centralized and inflexible. Symptoms include: Senior management is involved in many small decisions There are numerous cross-departmental buy-in meetings to socialize tactics Pleasing other internal groups takes precedence over pleasing customers The organization is highly coordinated and less prone to error, but slow and frustrating We avoid this by being highly aligned and loosely coupled.
Seeking Excellence New employees often comment in their first few months that they are surprised at how accurate this culture description is to the actual culture they experience. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea. But some people need support to help them with certain things. Like everyone, autistic people have things they're good at as well as things they struggle with. Being autistic does not mean you can never make friends, have relationships or get a job.
But you might need extra help with these things. Some autistic people need little or no support. Others may need help from a parent or carer every day. Unlike some people with autism, people with Asperger's do not have a learning disability.
Absolutely disgusting. All seemed well, and it was set to arrive the next day. Everything on the shipping shipping slip has the model of laptop I ordered, but this is clearly an Acer Chromebook, it says so on the box in enormous, unmissable lettering. How does something like this happen? The incredible, unfathomable level of incompetence it would take to make a mistake like this is hard to believe. I'm almost ready to believe its a deliberate scam.
I called the customer service number on the slip, and it wasn't even an active number. I called any other number I could find for them, and the most I got was an automated message telling me that the number has changed and to check the VERY website.
In the end I've just had to file a return, and hopefully it'll be accepted without a heap more issues. Maybe if I'm really, really lucky, I'll actually get the laptop I ordered. I'm not holding out a lot of hope. Definitely never ordering from this pathetic mess of a company again. Tip for consumers: Just don't risk it on high value items. Products used: Laptop, but was sent the wrong product. Very's customer service is appaling I sent parcels back three weeks ago I'm still trying to get refund no one answering phones advisors with language barrier who can't understand me I can't understand them it's really bad I'm now trying to get in touch on messenger.
Overpriced, Fake Cashback deals and horrendous customer service phone lines. I used to love Very but they have gone downhill terribly. I tried to no avail to order a pair of sandals from Very but they proceeded to take 3 payments from my husbands bank account.
Have tried over a week to get them on the phone but no good. Appalling service. Bought and Iphone - delivered in December 5 months later - black death screen. Phoned Very - asked to send it back. Returned it to them on 20th May. Phoned s week later for update - no news. Waited and no communication or refund. Called today and they are saying they have sent it to Apple yesterday for assessment.
So - no refund and no phone and could end up with having to pay for repair. I asked for a copy of the warranty and they don't have one apparently. I have been told that it will take 21 working days from the day it went to Apple which is a month since the phone went back. I have asked the customer services to send me a timeline of where my phone has been since it was sent back. Of course, the e-mail received has no such detail.
How do I know what has been done to my phone since they received it? This is by far the poorest customer service I have had. I will not buy from this outfit again and would advise all to steer clear.
Tip for consumers: Don't buy anything - poor customer service. Good products and okay pricing but just try getting any sense if you need further information from them I bought an over the bed storage unit which didn't come with dimensions really important if you've got to fit it around your bed and it took me literally eight e-mails, two live support sessions and three phone calls to try and get this information from them.
In the end I ended up asking an eBay seller who was selling the same thing! Be careful when using this site. I got refunded for an item I had never ordered and the company then wrote to me to ask what I had sent back to them. I have argued the toss but they still think they're right. Avoid at any cost!
Unfortunately again my issue is not resolved. I am mentally and physically tired of this. Still without washing machine. I have to go to laundrette and pay for the washing. I could never imagine myself that buying a washing machine with Very would be that kind of challenge.
Let me start from the beginning. On the 5 of May I have bought a washing machine with installation. Later in the week I got a text message from hotpoint saying that I would only get a delivery without installation. So I am calling hotpoint asking why. They are saying to call Very. On 8 of May I am calling Very. Explaining everything. Very saying that apparently I have not paid for the installation which it is not true.
Lady is transferring me another person who is confirming that i did pay for the installation. Apparently there was a mistake on the system and they have not set a installation with the delivery so she will return me those money. I have not got any refund obviously I still want the washing machine delivered with installation so because of this mistake she have to transfer me to Hotpoint and I have to pay for the installation again.
They have set the date and I am waiting. I got slot time then text message saying they will be there in 15 minutes. Terrible man very rude saying that he came to fix the washing machine not delivered.
As you can imagine I could not believe what is happening. So I called them. This is a joke what kind of customer service they provide over the phone. This company does not know how to handle anything. They can not advise or be helpful. Finally I just wanted to cancel this order and get my money back.
